On the 23rd March 2022, I was very lucky to be invited to be part of an ‘In Conversation’ event with one of my favourite authors and poets – Salena Godden!
Organised in collaboration with Writing Our Legacy, Hastings Library hosted us – the very library that Salena used to visit as a child.
I was super nervous because I’m not a big fan of unscripted speaking in front of an audience but I was also so very excited to meet Salena. And it felt like meeting up with an old friend! The event went well and we were all blown away by Salena’s readings and insights into the process of creating #MrsDeathMissesDeath. And it was wonderful to hang out before and after the event and I hope we get to do it again soon :)
